Getting Started

Quickstart

Connect a source and see Sift's AI agents at work

Sift takes just a few minutes to set up. Once your first platform is connected, AI agents immediately start reading incoming content, deciding what's worth your team's attention, and preparing drafted replies. This guide walks you through that first run.

At a glance

Connect from 20+ integrations (social, community, reviews, forms)✅

Automate routing, saved responses, and triggered actions✅

1. Connect your first platform

Head to Settings > Integrations and pick the platform you want to bring in. Sift connects to X, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Discord, Slack, Telegram, YouTube, App Store, Google Play, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Discourse, Gainsight, and more. Choose the accounts or channels you want Sift to track, and that platform's messages, posts, comments, and reviews start flowing into your inbox automatically.

See Integrations for setup guides for each platform.

2. Watch the AI agents work

Once content flows in, Sift's AI agents get to work immediately: they read every incoming message, score how much attention it deserves, generate a title and summary, suggest tags, and queue it for your team. By the time an agent opens a conversation, the AI has already done the triage.

Conversations that need a human appear in the Agent inbox. Conversations below your actionability threshold are handled automatically.

3. Reply to a conversation

Open a conversation to see the full thread and context. Sift can draft a reply based on the conversation and your team's knowledge base - review and edit it, then send. Your reply goes back to the original platform automatically; the customer never knows you switched tools.

See Responding for reply types (public, DM, internal comment), and Sift AI for how AI drafts work.

4. Set up an automation

Once you're comfortable, let Sift take routine work off your team's plate entirely. You can route conversations automatically by source, keyword, or tag; set up saved responses for common questions; and trigger actions the moment a conversation arrives or a status changes.
