Account & Help
The Account & Help category is the only part of Settings every user can access regardless of role. Pages like Account, Notification Preferences, and Preferences manage your personal experience inside Sift: your identity, the alerts you receive, and how the app looks and behaves for you. Help & Docs is the reference documentation for keyboard shortcuts, metric definitions, search grammar, and the REST API used elsewhere in the product. Together they're where you go to set yourself up and to look up "what does this actually mean?".
Account
The Account page manages your personal identity inside Sift. From here you can update:
- Profile: Name, profile image, and primary email.
- Security: Password, multi-factor authentication, connected accounts (Google, etc.), and active sessions.
- Sign-in methods: Add or remove email addresses, phone numbers, and social logins.
Notification Preferences
The Notification Preferences page controls how and where you receive notifications from Sift - assignments, mentions, review requests, due reminders, and other workflow-driven alerts.

Channels
Three delivery channels run across the top: Web (in-app), Slack (a DM from the Sift bot, shown as connected or unavailable), and Email (the address we deliver to). The Slack and Email switches are only active once those channels are available for your account.
Preferences matrix
A grid of notification types by channel, grouped into Your work, Reviews, and Reminders. Flip a switch to choose where each event reaches you; changes autosave. A Pause all notifications toggle at the bottom silences everything at once when you need quiet.
Slack delivery
When Slack is connected, a delivery card lets you set the Slack email Sift matches you by (use it if your Slack email differs from your Sift email) and send yourself a test DM to confirm it works. This is separate from the workspace Slack integration on Settings → Integrations, which routes channel messages from workflows.
Preferences
The Preferences page is your personal app preferences - language, text size, agent signature, and a permissions refresh utility.
UI Settings
- Preferred Language - English, Español, Français, or 日本語. The page reloads to apply the change.
- Text Size - Four presets: Small, Default, Large, XL. Each button previews the size live before you commit.
Message Signature
A textarea where you define the signature appended to your replies. Helper buttons insert a newline, a double newline, a space, or special markers (~, ^) at the cursor. Below the textarea, an examples block shows accepted patterns (e.g. ~agent_name, ^agent_name, \n~agent_name). Save persists the signature; Reset clears it. Sift adds the signature when you send a private reply, a direct message, or an email. On email replies (form submissions, Gmail, Outlook) and other channels that send HTML, the signature keeps its line breaks and sits under your message as its own block. On other channels it follows the last line of your message.
Advanced Settings
A single utility - Refresh Permissions - that re-fetches your role and organization membership without signing out. Useful immediately after a role change so the app reflects new access without a full reload.
Help & Docs
The Help & Docs page is a set of link-out cards to the customer docs you're reading right now (docs.getsift.ai) - keyboard shortcuts, metrics definitions, query syntax, and the API reference each get their own card. See the Agent, Developer, and Search sections for those references directly.
