Advanced and Saved Searches

Saved searches are used through the Sift platform to define filtering, build out queues, and trigger other actions when a message, that meets the search criteria, is processed by Sift.

In addition to free-form text, Sift provides "Advanced Search" which is often useful for filtering messages.

  • From the "Search" page, click "Advanced Search"

    • You may need to expand the filter options

    • Once expanded you'll see a number of filtering options. Some commonly used examples are:

      • Tag - Assigned automatically or manually. Defined by Tag Groups

      • Source - Originating Social Media platform and method (DM vs. public post)

      • Channel - Identifies origin of the message. This could be a Discord channel or a social media handle.

      • Time without Response - Length of time the message has been sitting unanswered. This can be used to provide a workflow to route to a supervisor or escalate

  • Once you've set a filter, click Search

  • To use this Search elsewhere, such as in a queue or workflow, make sure to save it, by clicking the "save" icon at the top right of the results table.

You can also get particularly granular by stacking several filters into a single search query, using the Add filter or Add "OR" Filter on the advanced search page.

Saved Searched

Save your searches to easily reference them again in the future. Simply click the "save" icon on the right-hand side of the Search page.
